Meet Joe Hankinson. Joe joined the Tradition Wealth Management team in 2025 as an Investment Advisor and is located at our Edina, Minnesota, office. He helps lead TWM’s Sports Management division, focusing on NIL and athlete-centered planning to help athletes, individuals, and families make informed financial decisions through thoughtful planning and personalized guidance.
Joe earned his degree from the University of New Hampshire, where he played Division I hockey in the Hockey East Conference. His background in sports, combined with years of exposure to the hockey representation industry, gives him a valuable perspective on the financial opportunities and decisions athletes face throughout their careers. Through his work with Octagon, Joe gained experience in contract review, data gathering, and client preparation for professional hockey players.
Joe has completed the SIE, Minnesota Insurance Producer license, and holds the Series 65 exam. Outside of work, Joe enjoys sports, playing guitar, music, and being outdoors.
