Joey Michelizzi
Meet Joey Michelizzi. Joey joined the Tradition Wealth Management team as an Investment Advisor in 2025. After spending a year in California as a Direct Sales Representative, where he developed strong interpersonal communication skills and a disciplined work ethic, Joey returned to Minnesota to pursue his long-term career ambitions. Joey graduated from Grand Canyon University with a degree in Business Management, providing him with a strong foundation in leadership and client service. He is a fully licensed advisor, having passed the SIE, Series 7, Series 66, and Life and Health Insurance exams. Joey works as an advisor on our 401(k) team. Joey is excited to build a rewarding career and make a positive impact by helping many reach their retirement goals. Outside of work, Joey enjoys hockey, golf, pickleball, hunting, fishing, working out, country music, and podcasts.
Tristan Peyton
Tristan joined the Tradition Wealth Management team as a Sales Assistant in 2025. He is currently building industry expertise and looking forward to a career as a Financial Advisor. As a Sales Assistant, Tristan provides exceptional client service and internal support to the team. He has a BS degree in Geographic Information Science from Texas A&M University, where he learned strong analytical and software skills. He leverages this proficiency in data analysis to understand client needs better and contribute to strategic wealth management discussions. Tristan has completed the SIE Certificate and is preparing for the Series 65 exam. He is excited to complete this key step toward becoming a licensed Investment Advisor Representative. Outside of work, Tristan enjoys weightlifting, hunting, reading, disc golf, and pickleball.
Joe Hankinson
Joe earned his degree from the University of New Hampshire, where he played Division I hockey in the Hockey East Conference. His background in sports, combined with years of exposure to the hockey representation industry, gives him a valuable perspective on the financial opportunities and decisions athletes face throughout their careers. Through his work with Octagon, Joe gained experience in contract review, data gathering, and client preparation for professional hockey players.
Joe has completed the SIE, Minnesota Insurance Producer license, and holds the Series 65 exam. Outside of work, Joe enjoys sports, playing guitar, music, and being outdoors.
